The Bulls have waived shooting guard Zach Norvell and power forward Simisola Shittu, the team announced today (via Twitter).

Norvell and Shittu were training camp invitees for the Bulls and saw limited action in the club’s four preseason contests. Norvell had 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in 40 total minutes, while Shittu put up 17 points Cheap Chicago Bulls Jerseys and grabbed 10 boards in just 24 total minutes.

Neither player had a full or partial guarantee on his contract, so the Bulls won’t be on the hook for any dead money. Typically, both Norvell and Shittu would be candidates to play for the Windy City Bulls in the G League. However, Ridiculous Upside and Sportando have both reported that Chicago’s NBAGL affiliate isn’t expected to take part in the league’s proposed bubble.

The Bulls are now carrying 15 players on standard contracts (all guaranteed) and a pair on two-way deals, so their roster may be set for the regular season.

The time has come for the Chicago Bulls to trade Otto Porter Jr.

Most Bulls fans would be sad to see Otto Porter go, and for good reason. He’s an athletic 6’8″ forward whose capable of the occasional 30 point explosion. The optimistic segment of fans in the Windy City would point to his performance just one week after becoming a Bull via a trade with the Washington Wizards. On that cold February night in 2019, Porter scored a career-high 37 points in a win against the Memphis Grizzlies. Porter remained solid, averaging 17.5 points per game during his time as a Bull to finish the season.

Unfortunately, Porter’s finish to the 2019 season has been the highlight of his tenure in Chicago. He’s missed significant portions of the Stitched Chicago Bulls Jerseys last two seasons due to injury. At times, he has shown flashes of the promising skill set that was evident upon his arrival in the Windy City. In other instances, he’s played like an “also-ran.” With the team being in striking distance of the playoffs for the first time in years, the front office has to consider which players are part of the long-term plan.

It’s time for the Chicago Bulls to trade Otto Porter Jr.
Although his time in Chicago hasn’t gone according to plan, front office execs in NBA circles still appreciate Otto Porter’s ability. Now is the time for executive vice president Arturas Karnisovas to capitalize on Porter’s market value. Let’s take a closer look at why Chicago needs to be proactive in making a deal for the former Georgetown Hoya.

First Noah Vonleh and now Zach Norvell.

The Chicago Bulls have been busy on Thanksgiving, reportedly signing two new players to one-year deals, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Bulls walked into Thursday with 15 guaranteed contracts already on the roster, so these two new signings have raised some Wholesale Chicago Bulls Jerseys questions about the team’s intentions. The most likely scenario, though, is that both Vonleh and Norvell will be on partially-guaranteed or non-guaranteed contracts for training camp, which begins sometime next week.

As NBC Sports Chicago points out, the additions of both players no only leaves one more spot for the full training camp roster:

Now, there is a possibility that both players still find their way into the 15-man group. Considering both have decent NBA experience, we can’t rule out that either convince the Bulls front office to waive an active roster member to make room for them. Additionally, there is always the possibility that a trade opens up some room for one of these two guys over the next couple of weeks.

Norvell will join undrafted free-agent Devon Dotson as another born and raised Chicago guard at training camp.

The 22-year-old played high school ball at Simeon and went on to be a standout performer for the Gonzaga bulldogs. He spent three seasons at the university, redshirting the first before being a consistent starter in the next two. In 2018-19 he averaged 14.9 points (FG 43.4%, 3PT 37.0%), 3.1 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. Norvell was a big part of the team’s 33-4 record and No. 1-overall seed in the NCAA tournament. Last season, Norvell spent some (very brief) time with the Lakers and Warriors, two obviously well-run organizations.

Dotson is already on a two-way contract, so let’s see if another hometown kid can lockdown one full season in Chicago.
